Mobile Tented Safaris
Luxury & Private Safaris
Some say a mobile camping safari is the only way, not only to see, but also to experience the African Savanna! This type of safari is private and exclusive for families or friends travelling together. Mobile tented safaris are, generally speaking, more expensive than the equivalent itineraries staying in lodges only. However, it is really a special experience!

-
A Fleet Foot Safaris logistics team erects the Camp.
-
Dome style tents (3m x 3m) are used, giving one enough space.
-
Each couple has their own hot water shower.
-
Shared ablutions are available when overnighting in semi-permanent campsites.
-
Toilets are a portable, chemical type and they do flush!
-
Camp beds are made up with mattresses, bedlinen, duvet and pillows!
-
Authentic canvas chairs, wash basin and towels are provided.
-
The 3-4 course menus are tasty, and the bush chef treats the clients with mouth-watering meals. Also ensuring that the included drinks are served ice-cold.
-
The Mobile Camp moves every 2 to 3 days with Lodge accommodation in between.
-
Clients are driven by fully qualified guides and the main objective is to enjoy wildlife during game drives to its fullest.
Comfortable Safaris
This type of safari is basically the same as the mobile tented safaris but
small groups up to 12 are accommodated.

-
Fleet Foot Safaris supplies fully equipped vehicles (4 persons per vehicle), unless the client prefers to use their own vehicle.
-
Most of the time the mobile camp is set up in advance by a Fleet Foot Safaris logistics team.
-
On arrival guests are welcomed with an ice-cold drink. All local drinks, beer and wines are included.
-
Roof-Top tents instead of dome style (3m x 3m) ground tents could be offered, if the client prefers.
-
The shared ablution facilities include hot-water showers and pit-latrines.

Self-Drive Safaris
-
Fleet Foot Safaris offers the set itinerary and supplies all vehicles and equipment, however the client has the option to use his/her own vehicle.
-
Vehicles are comfortable and if the terrain requires, fully off-road 4×4.
-
Roof-Top tents or 3m x 3m ground tents are supplied with camp beds and mattress, bedlinen and duvets.
-
Fleet Foot Safaris provides the guide/driver and bush chef. A single guide does not necessarily accompany clients all the way. For some activities, like walking safaris, local guides are used.
-
The menu is well-planned and caters for all tastes.
-
Local drinks, beer and wines are included.
-
Accommodation is comfortable and generally a combination of Mobile Tented Camp, and Lodge/Hotel rooms, huts or bungalows.
-
Clients can choose from a selection of excursions that Fleet Foot Safaris will pre-book.
Non-Catered & Non-Guided
The client self-drives their safari with their own itinerary, but Fleet Foot Safaris assists with logistics and planning, including but not limited to:

-
The client uses their own vehicle and equipment or may rent Fleet Foot’s fully equipped 4×4 vehicles and off-road Trailers, Motorhomes, Mini-busses or any other sedan vehicle.
-
A Driver/guide, if required, for the full safari or part of the safari.
-
Reservations for accommodation and excursions.

Custom-Made Safaris
Guided or Non-Guided
Fleet Foot Safaris designs a bespoke itinerary for the client.
We know where to go, when to go, how to go, and what to take.

-
Taking the client’s budget into consideration, the most suitable package is recommended.
-
Client preferences and dietary requirements are taken into consideration, and clients can choose to eat out, self-cater or make use of a Fleet Foot Safaris driver/guide/bush chef.
-
Fleet Foot Safaris takes care of all the organisation and reservations for accommodation, excursions, Park Entrance fees (where applicable), domestic flights, and vehicle rental.

Overland & Budget Safaris
Southern Africa’s ultimate safari-of-a-lifetime is the overland adventure,
taking customers across the bush, desert or delta in customized 4×4 or Overland
9-Seater off-road vehicles.

-
Four (4) clients travel per vehicle or in the event of larger groups, overland trucks seating up to 25 people are used.
-
Clients can also travel with the group in their own vehicle, but will have to supply their own camping equipment (like roof-top tents), and will be required to set up their own camp. They will also be required to follow the same itinerary as the group for the duration of the safari. Meals will be provided by Fleet Foot Safaris as for the rest of the group.
-
Clients get the opportunity to participate in putting up camp, making fire and assisting with food preparation.
-
At night tales are told around a crackling fire under the African night sky, or guests simply listen to the night sounds of Africa.
-
All camping gear and cooking utensils are supplied by Fleet Foot Safaris.
-
Meals, guiding and driving by Fleet Foot Safaris are inclusive.
-
Clients may provide their own drinks.
-
Clients are accommodated in lodge/hotel rooms, huts or bungalows to break the bush experience for a day or two.
