Victoria Falls

Victoria Falls, located on the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe, is one of the world's largest waterfalls. Known as Mosi-oa-Tunya or "The Smoke That Thunders," it boasts a rich eco system and several species of plants, birds and wildlife.  Various activities are on offer from white-water rafting to scenic helicopter tours.

Okavango Delta

The Okavango Delta, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Botswana, is a vast inland delta of permanent marshlands and seasonally flooded plains.  Spanning 15,000square kilometers, it attracts adventurers with its rich ecosystems that are home to elephants, lions, hippos, other wildlife and several bird species.The seasonal floods create the perfect opportunity for exploring the waterways and surrounding lush vegetation

Accommodation

Accommodation comprises the following:

  • A 4* Lodge at the Chobe in Kasane (Botswana);

  • Safari en-suite tents or Chalets in Livingstone-Zambia and Maun (Botswana);

  • Fully equipped mobile tented camp of Fleet Foot Safaris in the National Parks area

  • A 3* Island Camp in the heart of the Delta.

Fleet Foot Safaris Mobile Tented Camp consists of 3m x 3m semi-canvas dome tents for each couple.  The tents are high enough to stand upright and move in comfortably.  Each tent has 2 stretcher beds with extra mattress on stretchers.  Bedding on each stretcher consists of a fitted sheet, sheet, duvet, pillow and extra blanket -comfort right in the middle of nature.  All other camping equipment is provided.  Fleet Foot Safaris Mobile Tented Camp can also cater for those clients who would prefer to sleep in a roof-top tent on a 4×4 Vehicle or Off-road trailer.

Camping with FLEET FOOT is comfortable and of high standard and brings back memories of the typical safaris of the past.

Game Drives &
Nature Excursions

Exciting daily game drives with Fleet Foot Safaris leave in the morning after sunrise and is followed by a late morning breakfast/brunch on return to the camp/lodge. After a relaxed afternoon at the swimming pool or in the comfort of the camp or lodge, we drive out to visit nearby waterholes and to see the sunset in beautiful Africa.  Game drives also take place en-route between venues/destinations.

guides to accompany you on all

Fleet Foot Safaris excursions and game drives.

Cuisine

All meals are freshly prepared- original “bush cuisine”.   A typical South African “Braai” (barbecue) can’t be enjoyed thoroughly without a festive African open campfire and a selection of good wines.

 

The quality and freshness of our food is one of our proud trademarks.  A list of preferences and an example of the menu is sent to clients once an itinerary is agreed.  Any allergies and preferences reported are taken into consideration.

 

BREAKFAST/BRUNCH

Breakfasts vary each morning, and generally include an assortment of Cereals and porridge, and traditional maize meal called “mieliepap”, yogurts, eggs (prepared to order), bacon, sausages, potatoes, onions, beans, fresh fruit, toast with cheese and preserves, juices and tea/coffee.

 

LUNCH

Lunch is excluded, but fresh fruit or a light “snack” is available picnic style.

 

DINNER

The 3 Course “braai” (barbeque) around a campfire under the African night sky consists of a small starter, selection of meats (lamb, beef, chicken and game), selection of fresh vegetables and salads, and a dessert/sweet to round off the meal.  Tea or coffee before bed to round off a perfect evening.

Drinks

Drinks included in our packages are: drinking water, wines, beers, ciders, juices, soft drinks and tea/coffee.

All other spirits are excluded, except for the occasional Gin & Tonic we treat you to at sunset or on a hot afternoon.

You are welcome to bring any spirits you prefer to drink on the tour.We have mobile fridges to keep both food and drinks cold.  A list of available beverages is sent to clients once an itinerary is agreed.  Any brand preferences reported are taken into consideration
