Exceptional Botswana Safari Experience
This was my eighth trip with Fleetfoot Safaris, and once again they delivered an exceptional safari experience in Botswana.
Our itinerary took us from PomPom Camp in the Okavango Delta through Khwai, the Mababe Depression, Savuti, and finally to the Chobe River. The trip was very well organised from start to finish, with every transfer, flight, camp, and game drive running smoothly despite challenging conditions caused by unusually high water levels.
The focus of the safari was Africa’s large predators, and Fleet Foot Safaris exceeded our expectations. Within ten minutes of arriving at PomPom Camp after our flight from Maun, we saw a pride of lions feeding on a freshly killed wildebeest. Over the following days we had amazing sightings of leopards, lions, cheetahs, hyenas, crocodiles and, one of the highlights of the trip, African wild dogs.
Some of the most memorable moments included watching a mother leopard and her cub feeding in a tree, seeing a leopard family on a night drive, following a pride with playful lion cubs, and spending hours with wildlife without other vehicles nearby. These close-up encounters are becoming increasingly rare and showed both the quality of the guiding and Botswana’s unique safari experience.
The camping section in Khwai was particularly impressive. Fleet Foot Safaris created a comfortable and authentic bush camp in a beautiful wilderness setting. Despite flooded roads and difficult driving conditions, our guide Sugar consistently found exceptional wildlife and handled every challenge with professionalism, determination and good humour. At one point we became heavily stuck in deep mud and water, yet Sugar worked tirelessly until the vehicle was freed and our adventure continued.
The itinerary itself was excellent. Each region offered something different: the waterways of the Okavango Delta, the flooded plains of Khwai, the wildlife-rich Mababe Depression, the vast landscapes of Savuti and finally the birdlife and river scenery of Chobe. Even when wildlife was more spread out due to the unusually high water levels, the guides adapted and continued to find remarkable sightings.
A special mention must also go to Hennie, whose cooking throughout the safari was outstanding. It is hard to imagine enjoying such high-quality meals in remote wilderness locations, yet every day seemed to bring another pleasant surprise.Hennie was also a wonderful travel companion throughout the journey, and his enthusiasm and perspective clearly matched and reinforced my own passion for wildlife.
What impressed me most about Fleet Foot Safaris was their combination of professionalism, flexibility, wildlife knowledge and genuine passion for Botswana. They created a safari that felt adventurous and authentic while remaining comfortable and very well organised.
For anyone looking for a wildlife safari in Botswana, especially if you are interested in predators and immersive wilderness experiences, I can recommend Fleet Foot Safaris without hesitation.
Thank you to the entire Fleet Foot Safaris team for another unforgettable journey.

Five Star for way less!
Wow is the first word that comes to mind, never in a million year did we expect to receive five star service, well at least not at the price we paid. From the very first communication with Hennie and Michelle and the amazing team of people at Fleet Foot and Goself Drive, we knew we were in great hands. Thank you, Hennie and team for an amazing experience, will be one the family and will remember and treasure until our next adventure with you.

A KZN Adventure for the books ...
Fleet Foot Safaris put together a fabulous adventure for this group of 15 Americans, Australians, and South Americans who traveled together for 13 days and nights throughout the province of KwaZulu-Nata (KZN), South Africa. Game reserves with elephants, rhinos, and lions, deep-sea fishing and languid beaches of the Indian Ocean, montane vistas in the spectacular Drakensberg Mountains, all arranged in one convenient itinerary without any excess driving distances. Fleet Foot Safaris has an uncanny knack for finding accommodations that consistently exceed expectations, and deliver surprises in the landscape settings, the meals, and the optional activities. This is the second time that Fleet Foot has arranged a customized safari adventure for my friends, family, and colleagues - it won't be the last!

Beautiful 2 weeks drive around Namibia with Hennie & Elmor
What a trip! What a country! What a service! This trip had everything. Think about being washed down by pouring rain in the middle of Kalahari while listening to that particular sound of San people, walking through hundreds of newborn seals, encountering lions and black rhinos in Etosha. Add to that Hennie singing in the back of the car some old Boer songs when everyone gets bored by driving along endless Skeleton coast. Throw in the most beautiful sand dune landscape (Sossusvlei) I have ever seen - and I have been to Sahara, coastal desert of Peru and Atacama of Chile to name a few. Pour in Elmor's excellent geological insights of how these otherworldly landscapes have been forming during last 500 millions years or so. And icing on the cake - New Year dinner of Kudu and Eland steaks cooked by no other than Hennie himself and served under African stars. We have time now to reflect on all these things - and to start planning the next one. Maybe, that northeastern corner of RSA? Hennie said there might be some wildlife there...

Great time!
My sister and I wanted to visit South Africa for a safari. From the beginning, Fleet Foot Safaris was the most communicative of the Safari companies I emailed. They answered my questions very quickly and were very professional. They followed up with additional confirmations as well as a final itinerary and when I arrived, a day before we were to start, they sent a welcome email as well! Our guide was Elmor and he was great! He took care of everything. We stopped for lunch on the way to the first Safari location, had breaks and coffee, etc., too. He introduced us to biltong (South African beef jerky type) and answered our many questions. The accommodations chosen were really nice as one was a a small private camp and another was in Kruger frequented by South Africans. In the later, it had a kitchenette, which Elmor prepared our meals. I can not imagine having a better experience than the one we had. It was fantastic and we saw a lot of animals. I can't wait to go again! Fleet Foot Safari provides a worthwhile and memory filled experience.

Fantastic trip to Victoria Falls & Botswana with Fleet Foot Safaris
We travelled with Fleet Foot Safaris from Victoria Falls to Botswana and it was a fantastic experience. Nature and wildlife were amazing! Our trip was very well organized with a great mixture of nice lodges and bush camping, exciting game drives and relaxed evenings around the fire with a glass of an excellent wine from South Africa. The food deserves special praise. You get your three course top quality dinner beautifully served in the middle of the bushes with all the nature and wildlife around you. Unbelievable! But the best thing I liked about Fleet Foot Safaris was that Hennie and his team brought some special atmosphere and personal attitude which made the whole trip unforgettable.

World-class Tour Operator
My first tourto the Eastern Transvaal and Kruger National Park with Hennie and Andy made it abundantly clear that this would become my future way of touring. Knowing what excellent service, planning, travel and accommodation would be ahead, the start of the Namaqualand Flowers, Wine and Stargazing trip once again confirmed an excellent mix of participants, capable and safe drivers Hennie and Andy as well as impeccable organisation of time, the route, visits to National Parks, reliability of vehicles and choice of night stops. The flowers and the weather were at their best and with the local guide Nicky from Springbok, we learned a lot about this colourful miracle of nature. The wine bottling at Excelsior Winery was a novel experience and the stargazing in Sutherland - though at freezing temperatures - will be unforgettable. I am looking forward to my next journey with Hennie and company.

Amazing Safari Experience
My family and I took an 18-day trip through Zimbabwe, Zambia, Botswana, and South Africa and it was the most amazing experience we've ever had. Fleet Foot was awesome at organizing everything, including the accommodation, transportation, activities, sites, and little things we would not have considered. The communication was so easy and any questions, thoughts or concerns we had were answered consistently on time. I can't express how beautiful the sights and accommodations were; the team did a great job at picking locations. We especially appreciated the eco-tourism lodges, which were a form of tourism we didn't even know existed. I swear, we saw everything we wanted and way, way more. I can't recommend these guys enough, we will be coming back for more of Africa in no time!

Very well organised Botswana Trip
My wife and I had a fantastic safari through Botswana organised by Fleet Foot Safari, guided by Hennie and a local guide named Marepi. As 2 others couples cancelled at the last minute their trip we really had a private tour with these 2 gentlemen. They set up our tent and cooked every day very well. Hennie is a real SA meat eater, so for future we rather call them Meat Food safari . The knowledge of fauna, flora and wildlife was very interesting, we learned a lot from them. If you would ask us "what was the highlight of the trip ? " Well every day was a very special day !!! We certainly can recommend Fleet Foot safari for an amazing trip.
